A visit typically takes around 2 to 3 hours, including the time to explore the Selamlik (main halls), Harem, and gardens.

Photography is permitted in the gardens, but it is restricted inside the main palace buildings to preserve the artifacts and interior decor.

Dolmabahce Palace is easily accessible via public transport. You can take the T1 tram line to Kabatas station, which is a short walk from the palace.

The palace is open from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday to Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and on the first day of religious holidays.

Smooth palace entry and audio

Quick entry, audio guide helpful.

Good, but the audio guide felt a bit uneven

Security took longer than expected, though the palace itself impressed.

Smooth palace visit

Skipped lines easily, and the audio guide made rooms clearer.

Smooth Visit

As a first-time visitor, I appreciated skipping the main line at Dolmabahce Palace. Security still took a little time, but the audio guide made the rooms much easier to understand. The Harem section was especially interesting. I did have to show ID for the guide, which was slightly inconvenient.
